Henry James Starling

Henry James Starling was born in Norwich in 1905. He studied par-time at Norwich School of Art under Charles Hobbis and Horace Tuck. On leaving school he became a trainee at Colman’s Printing Works, retiring as Works Director in 1970. While at Colmans he taught himself lithography and etching. Henry James Starling became a very accomplished etcher and in 1956 was elected as Associate of the RE. Also exhibited at the RA 1935-62 and in exhibitions in Norwich.
